How long do your products last?

Our products have a shelf life of two years when unopened. Once opened, they should be stored in the refrigerator for one year. The expiration date and batch number are printed at the bottom right of the label.

Are your products gluten-free?

All our products are guaranteed gluten-free ! Sauces containing beer are made with gluten-free beer.

Are your products vegan?

With the exception of Formica Fortis hot sauce, all our products are vegan.

Are your products organic?

Unfortunately, our products are not certified organic. However, we do not put anything in our products that we would not eat ourselves !

Do your products contain any allergens?

Crystallization is a normal phenomenon in maple-based products. It occurs when the sugar content is too high in relation to the water content at the time of production.

We recommend placing your bottle of maple syrup in a double boiler to remove the crystals. You can also collect the crystals and use them as sugar!

What is the Scoville scale rating of your sauces?

We do not specify the Scoville scale for our sauces. The heat level is indicated on a scale ranging from 1 to 5 chili peppers. For the Challenge Box, here are some guidelines :

  • Sauces 1 and 2 contain chili peppers that are less than 100,000 SHU.
  • Sauces 3 and 4 contain chili peppers between 100,000 and 350,000 SHU.
  • Sauce 5 contains chili peppers around 550,000 SHU.
  • Sauces 6, 7, and 8 contain chili peppers between 600,000 and 1,000,000 SHU.
  • Sauces 9 and 10 contain a lot of chili peppers between 1,000,000 and 1,600,000 SHU.
My maple syrup has crystallized. Is this normal?

Our products may contain the following allergens : sesame, soy, mustard, and sulfites. For each sauce, you will find the ingredients listed on the product sheet.

In which product can I find Scorpion chili peppers?

To discover the power and taste of Scorpion chili peppers, we recommend the Forbidden Fruit hot sauce.

In which product can I find Ghost Pepper (Bhut Jolokia)?

To discover the power and taste of Ghost Pepper, we recommend the Bollywood hot sauce, as well as our extra-hot sauces.

In which product can I find Carolina Reaper chili peppers?

Unfortunately, we do not yet produce sauce with this chili pepper.

What is the minimum order amount for free shipping?

Free shipping on orders of $75 or more.

I live in Europe, can I order?

Unfortunately, we do not deliver to Europe. However, you can find our products on Heat Supply and Sweet Pepper.

I received the shipping email, but the tracking number does not work.

The tracking number is generated automatically when we prepare your orders. However, it only becomes active once Canada Post picks up the package from our warehouse. There may therefore be a 24-hour delay during which the tracking number is not active.

How long will it take to receive my order?

Orders are generally processed within 1 to 3 business days (excluding peak periods). Deliveries are then shipped by Canada Post within 1 to 3 business days.

I just received my order, but my products are broken. What should I do?

In the event of breakage, please email us at info@lapimenterie.com, attaching a photo of the broken item and the order number.

I just received my order, but there is an error with the products. What should I do?

If there is an error in your order, you can write to us at info@lapimenterie.com indicating the missing product(s), attaching a photo of the order received, as well as the order number.

Can I buy directly from the place of production?

Yes, you can come and purchase our products Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. at 2251 Dandurand Street in Montreal. Please note, however, that this is not a store; we will welcome you inside our factory. We recommend that you call (438) 943-0919 when you arrive at the building, and we will come down to open the door for you.

I am having a problem with a product I purchased in store. What should I do?

Unfortunately, we are not responsible for sales made at reseller outlets. If you encounter any problems following a sale, we advise you to contact the outlet concerned.

I would like to sell your sauces in my shop/use your sauces in my restaurant. How can I do this?
