Ingredients (for 4 people):

600 g sirloin or flank steak

1 tbsp vegetable oil

1 tbsp butter
-
2 garlic cloves, crushed

2 tbsp soy sauce
-
1–2 tbsp Royal Bourbon sauce

Freshly ground black pepper
Optional garnish: crispy onions, fresh cilantro, lime
Preparation steps:

Remove the meat from the fridge 20 minutes before cooking. Lightly season with salt.

In a hot pan, melt the oil and butter with the garlic.

Sear the meat for 2–3 minutes on each side for rare, or adjust to your preferred doneness.

Remove from the heat, let rest for 5 minutes, then slice thinly against the grain.

In a small bowl, mix the soy sauce and Royal Bourbon sauce.

Drizzle the warm or room-temperature sauce over the beef slices.

Garnish as desired and serve with rice, a crisp salad, or in a brioche bun.
