Chile de Arbol

Chile de Arbol pepper, literally translated from Spanish as “tree pepper”, is a true icon of Mexican cuisine. It does not grow in trees, but on a small shrub. This pepper keeps its bright and vibrant red color, even when dried. Little cousin of cayenne and bird pepper, it is used mainly dried for its slightly fruity and nutty aroma. It is a moderately hot variety that is often combined with other peppers to make table sauces or used simply crushed to spice up a dish.

Chipotle Meco

Chipotle is a jalapeño pepper brought to full maturity, turning red, which is then dried and smoked. It is often known in North America canned in Adobo sauce. The meco is by far our favorite chipotle. It gets its beige-amber color from being left to dry on the plant, even once it has matured, which also causes it to discolor under the harsh sun. The chipotle is then slowly smoked at a low temperature, until a rich and deep smoky flavor is obtained. It’s the perfect pepper to add a bit of heat and a natural BBQ taste.

COLD TURKEY

This sauce is made with Quebec cranberries, red jalapeños and spices from the boreal forest. Tart yet sweet, this sauce is for fans of this local berry. Ideal with poultry, wild game, cheeses or to dress up a sandwich.

The Pimenterie and The Pinch have come together afin to create a surprising seasoning that will add a zesty, delicious taste to your favorite tomato cocktails and recipes! A 70% cocoa chocolate bar topped with a generous corn crumble spiced up with Chocolate Ghost Peppers!

the "Ghost Pepper". Enjoy it slowly!

Trinidad Moruga Scorpion

This pepper owes its name to the Moruga region, located on Trinidad and Tobago, where it was discovered. A worthy representative of the Capsicum Chinense family, to which the habanero pepper belongs, the scorpion would be the result of a natural cross which made it much more powerful than the congeners of its family. It even briefly held the Guinness title of hottest pepper before being dethroned in 2017. The result is a chunky pepper with bumpy, rough skin that often has a spike at its end, like a scorpion’s stinger. On the nose, its aroma is floral and fruity, but beware: it lives up to its name: it stings hard! To be used in small quantities with initiated people. PS: Wearing protective glove is strongly recommended when handling it.
